9. Check Daily Planner
Each child will be provided with a weekly planner. Your child will be responsible for filling out this planner daily, taking it home each afternoon, and returning it every morning. This planner will help your child strengthen organizational skills and will promote responsibility. The ‘take home folder’ should contain important notes from the day and the daily planner. Your child should fill the folder with any important information, forms, and newsletters from school that should be looked over immediately.
8. Check Folders/Envelopes
The ‘Week in Progress' envelope will be sent home every Monday
(or the first day of the week).
Please look through your child’s completed/graded work, sign the folder,
and return the empty envelope to school the following day.
7. Do Your Homework!
Your child will be assigned homework, Monday-Thursday.
Your child should read aloud to an adult daily. Record reading daily.
Complete spelling practice activities daily. (Monday–Thursday).
Complete a model drawing math problem daily.
Any incomplete work should be placed in the folder to be completed at home.
After completing homework or class assignments,
they should be returned to class the next day.

Check Pinnacle on a regular basis to check your child’s grades.

4. Read the Logan School District Student Handbook!
Read the handbook and make sure you understand the information on attendance,
dress code, medications, transportation, etc.

3. Help your child be prepared for school each day.
Make sure your child gets adequate rest and eats a good breakfast every day. Encourage your child to do his/her best every day. Together, set academic/behavior goals to help them be the best they can be. If your child misses school,
I will collect that day’s work for them to complete at home.
Please make sure they complete the work and return it within 3 days.
2. Work with your child at home!
Help your child have math fact fluency. (addition/subtraction & multiplication/division)
Have your child read aloud to you to practice fluency.
Ask your child questions about what they read to help build comprehension.
Make sure your child completes his/her homework and returns it on time.
Find ways to make learning fun and praise your child’s positive behavior
